On this edition of Employee Spotlight, we’re introducing a very special new member to the 321 Executive Team — our Director of Accounts & Strategy, Matt Masterson.
We sat down with Matt, our agency dad, and Georgia Bulldogs fan, and asked him some key questions about his role and how he got to where he is today. Get to know Matt below!
 

  • So, tell us a little about your role:

MM:  I oversee 321’s account retention and growth efforts. As part of that, I oversee the account management, digital media buying, SEO, and nearly anything that would impact a client’s satisfaction with 321.  My job is to make sure we are delivering on all of the goals that our clients set for us as well as providing them with ideas and opportunities they didn’t think or know were possible.
 

  • What led you to work in accounts and strategy? 

MM:  I like the ability to have a measurable impact on someone’s business. We can give them the tools that create revenue, understand their customers better, have a clearer understanding of the competition and market.  When we do our reviews with our clients and we say to them, look at this, since you’ve started working with us, you are making X thousand dollars more per month than you were last month or last year, it is really gratifying.
 

  • How do you keep yourself motivated at work?

MM: I thrive on feedback and success, so when we get good feedback from clients or see success on a project we are working on, it fuels my desire to do more and continue to push the team and client further.
 

  • Awesome! Enough business though, let’s get to the fun stuff. Give us some fun facts about yourself. 

MM: Proud father of two blonde-haired, blue-eyed, fair-skinned kids who look almost nothing like me. Diehard Georgia Bulldog surrounded by a family of Gators.  I’m crazy enough to get up a 4:00 am to work out, but too tired to stay up much past 10:00. If you want to get on my good side, bring me a nice bottle of bourbon or a giant bag of sour patch kids. If you want to get on my bad side, call me bud, buddy, or pal.
