Florida’s Space Coast Office of Tourism needed to captivate prospect tourists by presenting the region as a must-visit destination. By showcasing the Space Coast's most photogenic offerings—from rocket launches to serene beachside escapes—321 fostered a sense of anticipation and shared intrigue across social platforms. Through immersive storytelling and visually stunning content, travelers were inspired to go boldly to this extraordinary destination.

Enter Starman

We gave the Space Coast a face: Starman. He represents everything to love about the Space Coast for both locals and visitors, a unique blend of leisure, adventure, history, and technology. Over the course of a three-day production, we brought Starman to the the people. He spent time with real, vibrant locals in real, vibrant locations to highlight the heart of the Space Coast—not just it’s postcard landmarks. We linked Starman back to space by developing The Launch Console: an app that delivered real-time launch updates and live streams into the hands of locals and visitors, driving engagement and encouraging further visits.

The Launch Console app became the centerpiece of Visit Space Coast’s social strategy, beckoning travelers to experience the destination in a brand new way. This app provides real-time rocket launch schedules, interactive guides, and insider tips for exploring the area, all seamlessly integrated with social campaigns.

321 initially partnered with them in 2023, and has since conducted multiple workshops, observations, photo and video shoots across Escapology locations to build more targeted and engaging campaigns.

The Space Coast is home to a diverse array of attractions, from adrenaline-pumping rocket launches to tranquil beach escapes. Yet Florida's crowded tourism market threatened to drown out even the exhilarating roar of a rocket launch. Visit Space Coast needed a campaign that stopped the scroll for astro-enthusiasts and newbies alike.

Solution

This multifaceted campaign synthesized immersive video storytelling, an interactive app, and targeted social media promotion. We drove 5M video views on social, garnered a 27M audience reach with our direct mail strategy, and landed a total of 81M impressions across all channels, prompting a surge in interest among travelers primed for this one-of-a-kind destination.
