A Dark-Side Partnership
The Disney team sought to create uniquely engaging brand content that united its Star Wars brand with its Walmart and Lego partnerships to highlight special “dark-side” anniversary products. This department had not previously worked with an agency and needed to find the balance between collaboration in content strategy and a turnkey production partner.

The Strategy
Our content strategy was created with the “Dark Side” in mind, Walmart’s current StarWars campaign. We developed multiple concepts and storyboards utilizing different featured products, highlighting authentic moments between a multi-generational family. We developed a content framework that would tie together the voice across mediums.

The Production
The Production was crafted around a multi-generational family in an aspirational home setting. The challenge became translating the themes of Walmart’s “Dark Side” campaign within warm, loving family relationships. We shot with the young talent as the hero of the story, with the parents and grandparent as supporting cast. The action was driven direct from our product research and the the latest LEGO Disney+ collaboration TV show: “Rebuild the Galaxy”. We executed all required assets while simplifying their involvement or communication.

Challenge
The Disney Team had a complex partnership with multiple international brands, and needed an agency partner to ideate, concept, and execute all needed campaign assets in painless process.
Solution
321 drove the entire process for Disney and Walmart, enabling simple feedback and approval processes in a short time frame. The final product was a suite of assets and message framework for the Walmart campaign.
