Escapology

An Evolution Inspired by Discovery.

To stay ahead of the competition in the fast-growing escape game market, Escapology needed a new way to grow brand awareness — striking the balance between engaging room themes and a memorable, overarching brand narrative.

321 initially partnered with Escapology in 2023, and has since conducted multiple workshops, observations, and photo and video shoots across Escapology locations to build more targeted and engaging campaigns.

Escapology has grown its footprint through a mix of original rooms and high-profile IP licensing — including Batman, Star Trek, and Scooby Doo. Each themed experience draws its own audience, but the brand itself needed a unifying voice strong enough to tie every room back to Escapology rather than the license on the door.

Our research focused on the core audience: adults and parents aged 30–50 bringing kids aged 6–15 for group outings, birthdays, and date nights. These guests aren't choosing a single room — they're choosing a brand they trust to deliver a consistently immersive experience, regardless of which door they walk through.

The steampunk lobby aesthetic became the connective tissue of the brand. Brass, warm wood, leather, clockwork detail — visual cues of curiosity and discovery — anchored the campaign system, the photography direction, and the social content. The result is a brand framework that can scale across every location and every room theme without losing its identity.
