At 321, The Sky’s the Limit
Florida’s Space Coast welcomes visitors from all around the world who desire to witness the fascinating feats and thrills of a rocket launch. Despite having an established audience and high-traffic to its website, The Space Coast Office of Tourism could not take advantage of the opportunity to have a centralized hub for rocket launch information. 321 and SCT joined forces to capture and engage this audience in a new, innovative way.

Knowing that visitors to the Space Coast, rocket launch enthusiasts and the everyday onlookers needed something informative and interactive so they could accurately plan their next experience – the concept behind Launch Console was born. The goal of the experience was to feature an immersive, modern interface that delivered accuracy, information and a useful feature set.

02
The Objective
The objective was to design and develop a practical and functional mobile application that removed guesswork and uncertainty, by featuring a second-by-second countdown clock, an informative library of upcoming launches, live feed video integration and a location compass that allowed users to use the app to accurately locate the destination of the launch on the horizon.

03
The Concept
It wasn’t Rocket science
321 wanted to create a thematic experience that encompassed one of the most dramatic events on Earth. We did this by ensuring the design, interactions and content were solely focused on creating an immersive and unforgettable experience for the user. We combined a futuristic heads-up-display inspired design with bold, high-tech imagery that transports users to the mission control room of a real spaceship.
04
Feature Rich Development
- A real-time countdown clock that displays the time until the next launch
- A compass used to locate the launch’s exact spot on the horizon
- A descriptive rocket display functionality that gives users an in-depth look at mission plans and rocket details

All Systems Go
Now that we had a kick-ass product, we partnered with the Space Office of Tourism to launch an omnichannel campaign that built strong brand and product awareness. From traditional OOH placement to a robust digital strategy — we combined rich, immersive content with a streamlined strategy, we drove remarkable product engagement, while strengthening the overall brand’s positioning.
